Home Outreach, End of week concert and much, much more!
We are pleased to announce our 2010 Summer

children.
Here are some of the things we will be offering at Camp:
WORSHIP - We will be inviting local worship leaders to join us each morning in giving praise to our King.
DEVOTIONS- Studying the Word of God will be an important part
of each day. The theme for summer camp will be explored through God's Word
and prayer at the beginning of each class.
WORKSHOPS- The following is a sampling of some of the workshops available.
Workshops will include:
-
Ballet class - according to age and ability. Learn in-depth
training at barre, center and across the floor. This class will help you
improve the areas of grace, coordination and flexibility.
-
Praise dance- focuses on the joy of praising God,
an upbeat class involving many different leaps and turns.
-
Israeli Folk Dance - This workshop will be led by the "Israeli Celebration Dancers", as they show us yet another way to express our joy for the Lord.
-
Theater- Take a look behind the scenes and learn about
stage makeup, props and costuming. Older students will transform their face
into a character.
-

to make their own stick or hoop ribbon for use in worship dance.
The week will conclude Friday evening, June 25th, 7:00p.m.
with a worship concert.
Students are encouraged to invite family & friends
to this celebration.
Outreach:
All camp participants will be offered an opportunity to minister to the residents
of a local nursing home on Thursday afternoon, June 24th. They will perform
their dance and share the Love of God with those who need to hear it.Don’t miss this exciting week!

|
 |
Every day students will have a consistent class that includes
devotions, warm-up, and choreography. All participants must choose a style
of dance that will determine the focus of this daily class and performance
piece. All selections will be divided based on the dancer’s age.
Please choose one from the following categories and designate your selection on your registration form.
|
These three categories are:
-
Dramatic dance: This style involves interpreting the
lyrics of a song into movement that tells a story. Facial expressions
and interpretive steps will be incorporated into the choreography.
-
Praise dance: Instruction and choreography for this
style will incorporate contemporary movements and upbeat music. The
joy of the Lord will be the focal point of this type of dance.
-
Worship dance: A ballet like style will be the foundation
of the choreography for this category. The expression of adoration to the
Lord through dance will be emphasized.
Please pick one of these and mark it on your Camp Registration
form.

Guest Teachers:
Shea (Sikkema) Porter - Acting Shea has been acting since she was very young. In 2002 she became involved in a local theatre company called Colorado ACTS and has been acting with them ever since! With multiple shows underneath her belt, Shea loves acting, but she also loves sharing the art of drama to kids of all ages! She has been assisting, teaching, and directing for ACTS for the last three years. Shea loves children and her joy and bubbling personality comes from her deep love for her savior Jesus Christ. We are so blessed to have her with us this year!
Israeli Celebration Dancers (ICD) - Israeli
ICD is a group from Northern CO who express their love for Israel, the Jewish people, and the Messiah through dance and celebration. The dancers have traveled and danced in Israel, and around the Untied States, with an average of 60 performances a year. ICD has been in existence for over a decade. The group started performing as a cultural attraction, but eventually came to see that the reason for the dance was to show the joy and freedom that God has given to them. In the beginning, the dancers mainly performed folk dances. However, during the first trip to Israel, a member of the team purchased a Hassidic party album. It included very fast music. From then on, the music kept getting faster. Now, a main preoccupation is finding the best and fastest dance music in the world. They want to show the church that it is possible to be so in love with God that you just have to dance wildly around the room!
~ Teachers also hold camps in various locations throughout
the U.S., Mexico and Japan ~
