Day 1

Dear Friends,

We have arrived safely!! I am sorry about the long wait for this update. We have had some computer problems. But we are all safe and doing very well!

All of our flights were good, and all our luggage arrived safely with us, Praise the Lord! Our biggest accomplishments in Japan so far have been, taking the bus shuttle to change airports, checking into the local airport, traveling by train (and getting off at the correct station) all by ourselves! God is so good!

Our first big praise report is that we arrived the day before a big typhoon was supposed to hit this area. The people here were really concerned about us getting stuck in the Narita/Tokyo airport because of canceled flights. If that would have happened, we would have missed the first day of our workshop. They were rejoicing in the Lord`s answer to prayer, as He brought us safely in, at just the right time. Also because of the typhoon warnings, a church youth event was canceled and now more girls will be able to attend our purity seminar! God works in mysterious ways!

I am writing you from Hakata New Life Church, where we are staying and working for the next few days. The church building used to be a print shop, and we are staying on the 4th floor where they have 2 wonderful rooms for us. We have beds and our own small shower, we feel SO very blessed. Naomi Hamilton is the our contact here and we are having a great time getting to know her and her family. Today was the first day of our workshop, and everything went so well. From the worship, to devotions, dancing and spending time with the students, God's hand has been orchestrating all of it!

And even though there has been A LOT of rain and wind, the typhoon has passed over and everyone is safe!
